Fun with Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!

We have had two fun filled days in kindergarten so far!  On Wednesday we went on a Chicka Hunt around the school looking for tricky numbers that ran out of our book! When we got back to class we found a yummy snack waiting to be put together!  The recipe card came home in your child's folder!

Today we started out with a fun name song called: Willoughy WallabyWoo!  After having the elephant sit on us we made a fun class book that will be put in our library center!

We have also been working on taking care of our things at the table and using our glue, scissors, and pencils in a safe way.  Today we did a big project to practice with cutting, gluing, and writing! We are decorating our backpack with special things that tell us about that child.  These will be hanging outside our classroom next week!

The best part of our day was breaking open our coconut!  The kids loved it!  We thought there was just water in it, but actually we discovered that there was meat too!

After dumping out the water, the children all came up and smelled the water!
The last activity of the day was taste tasting different coconut products!  We sampled coconut water, coconut candy, and shredded coconut!  The candy got the most votes!

Please remember tomorrow we leave school at 1:55!
